Coffee Garden No.3

Opening for Mr. Jiggie WIth It himself, Will Smith, playing cajon and tambourine with my feet and sax with my hands. Second part is me playing sax one handed and using all these metal animal statues as puppets, kinda had to be there for it to be enjoyable.[audio:http://documentofadaydream.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Coffee-Garden-No.3.mp3|titles=Coffee Garden No.3]

These open mics are quite fun, I get to play loud and experiment a lot. Some of it makes more sense with the actual visual performance going along. People randomly start clapping, foot stomping, playing instruments, hootin' & hollerin', and makes a great response between the performer(s) and the audience.

Coffee Garden Open Mic #1

When I first moved to Sacramento I was attending this open mic once a week. It's been a few months since I've been there. It always feels good to go play live because I get to play super loud unlike in a little apartment. Unfortunately I play loud enough to clip my microphone to unfixable recording quality, there was little salvageable. Next week I'll try to make it out there again and better place my microphone. It was great seeing everyone again and meeting some new faces. Thanks to Dave Finberg, the host, for playing along with some percussion.[audio:http://documentofadaydream.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/Open-Mic-Day76.mp3|titles=Open Mic Day76]
